IDL Brings Your Patients The First-Ever Power Brush Designed Specifically For Dentures & Oral AppliancesIDL has some exciting developments to share with you just in time for Oral Health Month. For the past eighteen months Ali Khonsari, IDL’s vice president, has been working with Jim Harrison DD, a denturist in Collingwood, and John Miller D.D.S., a dentist also from Collingwood, to develop the first-ever power brush designed and engineered specifically for dentures and oral appliances. The PowerDent Pulse™ for dentures and the PowerDent Pulse Multi™ for oral appliances are entirely unique, functional and effective in maintaining a high standard of oral care.
THE POWERDENT PULSE™ FOR FULL & PARTIAL DENTURES The PowerDent Pulse™ uses pulse technology to remove plaque, debris, stains and tartar from full and partial dentures. The battery-operated power brush cleans the entire denture and is meant to be used after soaking to ensure the most thorough cleaning possible.
The brush employs a patented Dual Head design that ensures all surfaces of the denture, even the hard-to-reach grooves that fit onto the gums, are effectively cleaned. Keeping dentures this clean means your patients will have healthier gums and fresher breath. It also keeps unsightly stains from forming so your patients will appreciate having a whiter, brighter smile.
No matter how diligent, patients often lack the ability, know-how or dexterity to thoroughly and properly clean their dentures. One day, while sitting at his desk, Jim Harrison held a conventional old style denture brush in one hand and a power tooth brush in the other. The idea just popped into his head. The POWERDENT PULSE™ idea was born.
THE POWERDENT PULSE™ FOR ORAL APPLIANCES Keeping oral appliances clean and fresh plays an important role in overall oral health. The pulsating action of the Powerdent Pulse Multi™ power appliance brush quickly and easily cleans the entire oral appliance.
The PowerDent Pulse Multi™ brush is the brainchild of Dr. John Miller. Having delivered countless oral appliances to patients including bleaching trays, sportsguards, grinding appliances, orthodontic aligners and retainers, Dr. Miller kept seeing and hearing patients complain about how dirty their appliances would become and how they could not keep them clean. His patients would recall suffering from bad breath while wearing their unhygienic appliances and how embarrassed they were to wear them after they had become stained. Thus came the idea of the PowerDent Pulse Multi™ brush for oral appliances.
FEATURES & BENEFITS OF USING A PRODUCT SPECIFICALLY MADE FOR CLEANING DENTURES & APPLIANCES: • Provides a thorough cleaning to full and partial dentures, sportsguards, nightguards, retainers, aligners and bleaching trays. • Patented dual head design reaches into every groove to clean areas that other brushes can’t reach. • Removes bacterial plaque for optimal oral health. • Optimal bristle stiffness won’t scratch dentures or oral appliances. • Easy to hold and operate: regardless of strength or dexterity of user.

IDL's technicians are well versed at using this system to fabricate reliable restorations that exhibit exceptional esthetics, even when cases demand multiple complex restorations.
What is IPS e.max Press IPS e.max Press are biocompatible lithium disilicate glass-ceramic ingots. A complete ceramic system designed to provide metal-free solutions for most indications. They offer the fit, form and function which is expected from pressed ceramics. In addition, they offer improved flexural strength (400 MPa). When fabricated to full-contour, the monolithic structure is the most robust ceramic system tested to date. The opalescence, translucency and light diffusion properties of IPS e.max lithium disilicate were all designed to replicate natural tooth structure for beauty and undetectable restorations.
