Jennifer Fowler, R.D.T., LVI Master Technician Porcelain Dept. Supervisor, IDL President Jennifer received a uniquely in-depth education in all areas of the laboratory from early on, having been raised in the dental laboratory business. Always eager to further develop IDL’s existing skills, Jennifer is in constant pursuit of advanced techniques which takes her to, among other organizations, the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI) to participate in courses engineered for dentists as well as specialty courses for technicians. She is a member of the CDTO, ADTO, NADL. Jennifer’s expertise in the area of full mouth rehabilitation ensures our dentists receive superior assistance with the creation of optimal treatment plans for complex reconstructive cases. Her skills encompass the perfect balance of aesthetic craftsmanship and technical precision. |

Ali Khonsari, C.D.A. II, B.B.A. • Vice President As general manager, Ali leads the day-to-day operations of IDL. He regularly takes courses at the Las Vegas Institute because he believes it is important to keep informed of the latest developments in the dental technology field. He is also a certified level II dental assistant and a cabinet member of Georgian College’s new Centre For Health And Wellness. With his experience and strong grasp of the field to draw from, Ali designs innovative programming for IDL’s Continuing Education Centre. Ali’s primary focus is to ensure that every office receives the best care and service possible. He takes great pride in IDL’s staff and all of their accomplishments. Ali’s passion for improving the Barrie community is evident through his participation in local fundraising campaigns. He also enjoys organizing special events like IDL’s annual Blue Jays Day held every summer at the Rogers Centre (a great family outing).

Jorg Hansen, R.D.T • Laboratory Manager Jorg’s vast knowledge of all aspects relating to laboratory work have made him indispensable to our customers and our staff technicians. Upon receiving a thorough education in Hamburg, Germany and gaining years of experience there, Jorg came to Canada and furthered his education through the CDTO and is counted among the association’s membership. During his near 30 years with IDL, Jorg has been responsible for implementing many advancements to refine lab practices. He is forever centred on delivering quality products consistently as well as providing only the highest level of patient care. Jorg believes working closely with doctors to ensure there is always open dialogue benefits everyone—especially the patients. His area of specialty is Implantology. When he isn’t occupied with a complex case, Jorg enjoys spending time with family, particularly his grandchildren. His loyal lab (no pun intended), Thor, provides hours of amusement too.

Gerry Prescott • Chrome Dept. Supervisor Gerry started his career with IDL in 1981. His mastery over casting and designing partials is clearly evident in the solutions he constructs for each denture frame. His department shares a philosophy whereby “The only way to be truly happy in your work is to do it well.” With that in mind, Gerry is most proud of IDL’s attention to quality control; All laboratory technicians are proactive and feel personally responsible for each case. Apart from reading engaging novels, Gerry enjoys listening to blues and jazz.

Roger Steele • Crown & Bridge Dept. Supervisor Roger’s meticulous precision and attention to detail has been honed over his 30 years with IDL. Being exceptionally knowledgeable with implants affords our customers an extra level of support with treatment planning. Home renovations, golf and traveling are among Roger’s favourite pastimes.

Marie Mayo • Office Manager As IDL’s Office Manager, Marie is able to provide any assistance regarding accounts, billing, purchasing, as well as general enquiries. Marie’s thoughtfulness and willingness to go above and beyond the call-of-duty never ceases to amaze our clients and IDL’s staff. She is enthusiastic for all manner of needlework; knitting, sewing, and crocheting are her creative outlets. Marie’s knitted dolls and table decor are true works of art. Among her other hidden talents is song writing.
